There are so many targeting possibilities that we made available in a macro language that allows to fully exploit it. Don't worry though — simple targeting like frequency capping and geo targeting are easy to setup and don't require black magic.
More complex targeting is possible based on cookies and query strings just to name a few. In all cases, a collection of operators such as equals, not equal, and greater/less than provide a high degree of precision.
Not only is it possible to use these macros for targeting, but a collection of cookie operations are also available. The functions increment_cookie, decrement_cookie, delete_cookie and set_cookie all allow to easily build sophisticated profiling mechanisms.
Our API (Application Programming Interface) allows developers and third party services to plug into AdGear's core. Why would this be a good thing? Imagine the possibility of easily exporting data for customer profile modeling. Or giving limited inventory access to an ad optimization service. Or plugging in a data source.
The API works both ways, allowing to both get data out and bring data in. Operations like creation of campaigns and changing of targeting rules is also possible.

Campaign reports can be sliced and diced for analysis per placement, per ad or per format. Standard delivery reports include basic media metrics as well as advanced reach and frequency reports.
Every campaign comes with a geo delivery report showing the geographic location of audiences reached, per country and region. Engagement reports provide an insight as of the interaction patterns with rich media creative.
Both compiled and raw request data is exportable via the API, ultimately allowing to roll customized reports.
